What makes your beef tallow different?
Our tallow is wet rendered and filtered using steam distillation, meaning no chemicals are used at any point in the process. This results in a clean, pure product.
Do you use suet in your tallow?
As part of our zero-waste mission, we use all the fat from the cow, including about 10–20% suet. This helps create a richer, more nutrient-dense tallow.
What does your tallow feel like at room temperature?
Our tallow has a consistency similar to firm butter at room temperature and melts around 120°F. Consistency may be different during warmer months. Use re-firming guide if needed.
What is the shelf life of your tallow?
Properly stored, our tallow lasts:
- 1 year at room temperature
- 2 years in the refrigerator
- 3–4 years if frozen
Make sure to keep it sealed and out of direct sunlight to maximize freshness.
Where does your tallow come from?
We proudly partner with a few trusted U.S. farms to source our beef fat. All tallow is packed and shipped directly from our shop in Delaware.

Helps clean up my skin
This comes in a two pack, bright orange turmeric soap. I love that the ingredients are all natural but I was previously using a liquid soap so I think I tend to use more soap to feel a bit more squeaky clean.I use a nice scrub cloth so the turmeric orange leaves a beautiful color in the scrub but it comes off so not a problem.The only thing is that I tend to use a lot of this soap to get a clean feeling- Iknow it's probably because it's only natural ingredients but I do wish it was a bit more foamy/lathery or at least leaves a bit more of a squeaky feeling
I really like this soap, it is mild but cleaning, has simple ingredients, it is hand made in USA, it has a lovely light scent from natural oils (lemongrass) not chemical perfumes, and my sensitive skin is happy with it. I applaud the makers for listing all the ingredients on the product page. My only concern is that it contains palm oil, which is an environmental disaster. Turmeric has such a great reputation as an anti-inflammatory that I am glad to see it listed as the first ingredient. Truly, a fine, fine soap.
This two-pack of Brooksie Naturals turmeric soap has a nice, creamy lather in our hard water. The lather is smooth and thick enough that I could use it to shave my legs.The addition of turmeric makes it slightly scratchy for exfoliation, so I didn't try it out on my face. It was easy to soap up in the shower and the bar was perfectly sized for holding in my hand.The description says that the soap is fragrance-free, but it is not scent-free. There are no fragrance oils used, but the lemongrass essential oil gives the soap a pleasant aroma. I like that these bars are cold-process soap handmade with a few natural ingredients.
