What are these amber glass jars used for?

These straight-sided jars are ideal for salves, balms, body butters, creams, cosmetics, herbs, spices, candles, and small-batch DIY formulations. The amber glass and metal lid make them well suited for both cosmetic and food-safe storage.

Why is the glass amber colored?

The amber tint blocks UV light, helping protect light-sensitive contents — like essential oils, botanicals, and herbal formulations — from degrading. Amber glass also offers excellent moisture and oxygen barriers.

Are these jars food safe?

Yes. The jars are made from Type III soda-lime glass, which is FDA compliant and Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) — the FDA's highest packaging standard. Glass is non-reactive and won't leach into its contents.

What size lids do these jars use?

Each jar comes with a black metal lid. The 2 oz jar uses a 53-400 neck finish and the 4 oz jar uses a 58-400 neck finish, so replacement or specialty lids in those sizes will also fit.

How many jars come in a pack?

Both the 2 oz and 4 oz options are sold in packs of 12, with a black metal lid included for every jar.

Can these jars be reused?

Absolutely. The glass and metal lids are durable and reusable — just wash and dry between uses. Avoid sudden temperature changes greater than 75°F to prevent thermal shock.
